Toronto, CANADA; July 22, 2019 – The Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) today announced the rollout of a new public research hub, designed to enable anyone around the world to easily access all of the BRI’s publicly released research.
All BRI research is proprietary to its member organizations for a period of six months. Members have agreed that, after this period, the BRI may make this research available to the public under a Creative Commons International 4.0 license (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Members will still receive proprietary access to complementary deliverables, including video content, infographics, events, and a broad range of services.
“Collaboration across industries and disciplines is one of the Blockchain Research Institute’s core principles,” said Don Tapscott, co-founder and executive chairman of the BRI. “This research hub will make it easier for people from around the world to access and learn from a global network of leading academics and subject matter experts.”
The BRI’s research explores the strategic implications, applications, and challenges of blockchain in business, government, and society. It covers roughly a dozen different industry verticals and examines the impact of blockchain on corporate management, from human resources and marketing to finance and operations.
There are currently over 50 research projects available in the public research hub, with over 60 projects underway or still proprietary to the membership, and a constantly growing list of research projects.
“We hear a lot from our members about their desire for stronger, more open networks for collaboration,” said Tapscott. “This is really just the first step in our efforts to cultivate that new innovation ecosystem.”
Members of the public can sign up to access the public research hub by filling out a form on the Blockchain Research Institute website.
