Toronto, CANADA; Aug 12, 2020 – The Blockchain Research Institute (BRI) is excited to welcome the InterWork Alliance (IWA) as our latest Affiliate Member. As a BRI Affiliate Member, the IWA will receive access to the research projects conducted by the BRI.
The IWA brings together technology and innovative business leaders to define how concepts of business value can be tokenized and how this value will be contractually unlocked through agreements and clauses. The IWA’s interworking standards will drive business-level interoperability, multi-party interchange, and trust across applications and networks. The organization’s global membership includes leaders, adopters, innovators, developers, and businesses representing the best practices for every use case the token-powered ecosystem has to offer.
“This is a time of great opportunity,” said InterWork Alliance President Ron Resnick. “Companies want to be able to create token-based business models without having a platform technology in mind. Collaborating through affiliate membership provides more opportunities for both organizations to work more closely together as the Alliance works to deliver a proven, standard approach that is required to bring consumer trust into this space.”
Tokens enable users to define, exchange, and use anything of value – whether that value is digitally-native, such as cryptocurrencies, or other forms of value, such as artwork, properties, loyalty points, etc. Business partners first need to universally agree on how that token is defined and how its value will interwork across the ecosystem in exchange or use.
“The Blockchain Research Institute is very excited to welcome the InterWork Alliance as an affiliate member of our global ecosystem.” Said BRI Executive Chairman Don Tapscott. “By collaborating around developing a technology-neutral platform for token innovation, tokenization has the opportunity to transform how a business operates across virtually all industries.”
